adding to what jack said that painting the scream is probably irreparably damaged and will not be shown again in its present state. The other big even for me was a Pollack Painting garnered the most ever paid for a painting. Abstract Expressionism is finally getting the collection attention that it always deserved and the William Morris glass show in Seattle was a major even in any year as it was beyond spectacular
Reply:Probably the biggest art story of 2006 was the return of Edvard Munch's painting "The Scream" to the Munch Museum in September of this year.
