5 significant events in history?

Okay well I have an assignment to find 5 significant events in history that has happened since 1993. I've found a few, but I'm wondering what you guys at Yanswers think.

5 significant events in history?
Invasion of Iraq, bombing of world trade center, bombing in spain , israel/lebanese conflict, in 1993 battle of mogadishu, somalia, and invasion of afghanistan. These are just things off the top of my head, if i can help more, feel free to contact.
