Main events in the Grapes of Wrath?

what are the main events in the Grapes of Wrath? i need around 10 and i'm having a seriously hard time determining the most important events in this book. i've tried using summaries to help me out but i haven't gotten anywhere. if u could name ANY i would be sooo grateful! thank you
