Reply:Some information that may be helpful to you for your report would be things like the Korean War which lasted from June 25, 1950 to July 27, 1953, The Suez Crisis and the civil rights issue just to name a few issues in history at the time. For things that were popular in this era as for as music were people like Elivs Presley, and June Carter. As for as music, and television you had shows like I Love Lucy, and The Twilight Zone which were extremely popular in the day. In literature there was Lord of The Flies, and The Catcher In The Rye. In science some of the greatest contributions were made especially when Jonas Salk invented the first polio vaccine in 1955, and the first organ transplants were done in Boston, and Paris in 1954. In technology, Russia launched its first artificial satellite called Sputnik1 in 1957.
