To avoid conflicts in planning events, where can I find a calendar of national events, sports, holidays, etc?

I often have to plan office and company events, but I never know if there is a Superbowl, March madness, religious holiday,, etc. with which I might have a conflict. Is there one source where I can look to see what major events are scheduled weeks or months in advance so I can plan better? Obvioius sources for holidays are easy, but knowing what day major sports events are in two months, etc is a real problem. Any professional events planners out there.

Below are some links which show holidays for 2007, 2008. They also have links for other years.

Good luck!
Reply:Well... for the Superbowl, to to the Superbowl website, http://www.superbowl.com/features/future... and it will tell you when/where the next 3 superbowls will be. Plan on March Madness always being in March (thus the name).

As for other events/holidays, go to a search engine and type in Holiday Calendars. It will pull up a whole list of calendars that can help you plot out the various holidays and religious days that you may need to avoid. Don't forget to check your state/city calendars.

If you find one caledar that lists everything, post that information here... I could use it for my job.
Reply:Not a professional event planner, but I think your best source is going to be to hook up to each organizations website and download their annual schedule. You should be able to get religious and government holidays from a good calendar although lesser religions may not be included. Good luck
